SGOA operates across Afghanistan with a growing national footprint, reaching communities in the southern, northern, central, central highlands, and northeastern regions. As of 2025, the organization has implemented multi sector programs in 8 provinces, 149 districts, and over 300 communities, combining direct implementation with strategic partnerships and community-based structures.
Regional offices and mobile teams enable SGOA to access high-need, hard-to-reach areas while maintaining strong community trust and program quality. By 2030, SGOA plans to expand its coverage to all 8 regions, at least 17 provinces, and over 1,000 communities, focusing on areas with acute humanitarian needs, high poverty, and gaps in gender responsive, locally led programming. This geographic strategy is coordinated with national and regional frameworks to complement the work of other actors and maximize impact.
